Balenciaga, Versace and Hussein Chalayan, Stella McCartney are designers who have shaped the Sci-Fi trend. Dresses this season are sculpted into geometric shapes and metallic fabrics are used. Inspiration comes from architectural shapes and designs take on asymmetrical silhouettes. My favorite designer to work this trend is Alexander McQueen and his fall 2010 collection. Making use of brilliant prints and intertwining the Victorian era with an alien imagined future was the height of creativity and design genius that you can only expect from McQueen.
