Girls of The Forest

I guess you could say I've been hiding in the forest for a while...I've been busy building a family but I feel as though I am coming back to myself so I've decided that today will be the day that I continue practicing the art of Fashion writing.

While I have been away I've developed a new love and way of style/living for myself. I've fallen in love with the Japanese Fashion Street Trend Mori Girl.

I love the subtle colors, lace and ruffles. The hobbies and slow driven life has intrigued me. Only when I began to dress as these "Little Girls of the Forest," I realized that something had changed in me.

I began to realize that life should be taken in slowly. Slowing down and enjoying every minute of my life, I've blossomed even more as a woman! And maybe even still as a fashion writer! I am looking forward to writing again and I'm anxious to see where my mind goes when I examine fashion.

Mori Girl is all about slowing down and appreciating the beauty of this world. As oversize clothing and unrestricted silhouettes make way to my closet, slowly, I become much more comfortable in expressing myself through fashion!

There are many sub-trends of the trend itself. There are jean Mori Girls, Swamp Mori Girls, etc. As I explore, I define myself in the trend. Never has fashion influenced more than when I found Mori Girl. I am looking forward to the day when I can actually visit the towns these ladies reside in and interview them, investigating the meaning behind their expression as a Mori Girl.
