Vacation Hair The 2010 Way

How should you wear your hair for that exotic vacation? Here are some pics of 2010 hair trends that I thought would be easy, look nice (going to be around some corporate individuals) and compliment the exotic feel your going for. From Alexander Wang to Naheem Khan there is room for exotic hair this spring! So funny that all of these styles is what I am currently wearing anyway!

There's those rolled shorts again! I like that they are tie-dyed. Tie-dye always gives an exotic feel. I love the look of the tie -dye print mix with more tie-dye print. I even would like to try and pick up an long sleeve piece like this one...it may get cold!

There is an Aboriginal Danish beauty that has been causing some news lately. Her name is Samantha Harris of Australia. A former pageant girl, she endured countless rejection in beauty competitions. When she landed the cover of Vogue in 2008 she became a model to watch. Her appearance at Fashion Week sealed her destiny.

Ooh La La! Well! This certainly gets me in the mood for a cruise! Reminding you of magical far away places and cultures, Vogue Korea puts me in the mood to discover exotic places and exotic ideas in clothing! It also reminds me of Jessica Simpson's "The Price of Beauty" on VH1. I will admit, I was moved and really enjoyed that show! I think the next couple of entries will be inspired by this post! Lovely!

When Givenchy Was Transformed

I have to admit, Transgender and Fashion is highly enjoyable to me lately. I am currently loving the new series, "Transform Me," on VH1. Now Givenchy launches an ad casting Lea T., a Transgender and previously known as Leo, as a model for his new unisex Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign designed by Riccardo Tischi. A longtime former assistant as well as fit model, I think the idea works very well. Tischi says of Miss T., “She’s always been very feminine: superfragile, very aristocratic,” he told WWD. I love the new campaign photos! View & Read more here.

Love Drunk & Comfortable

Karl Lagerfeld love for Vanessa Paradis has worked well for Coco Chanel's newest campaign ads of her newest collection, Coco Cocoon. The white handbags are my favorite! The title of this blog entry says it all! Check the collection here.

No Ordinary Wedding

A couple of months ago I was told that I could truly begin to plan for a 10 year anniversary wedding. Still not sure if this is what I want, I have been inspired by Rodarte's Fall 2010 RTW collection that the wedding of my dreams could possibly come true! I dream of a vintage inspired wedding with horses and an wooded landscape. Yes, there is hippie in me, but I believe, with modern taste! Wearing one of these dress, this will be no ordinary wedding!

Witches?, Banshees?, Ghost? Never looked so good! I love the dresses of this recent editorial by Vogue Italia. Romantic, simple, comfortable dresses, this editorial is hauntingly beautiful! Maybe I am reading it all wrong! Maybe the model has time traveled and dreams of her escape while she plays with timeless, beautiful dresses?

Outdoor Love

Anyone that knows me knows that majority of the day I am sitting or frolicking in my garden during the spring and summer. This year, I have decided to create two new projects for creating more enjoyable outdoor spaces for myself and now for my son who also enjoys the flowers and seating of the three outdoor spaces I have. Here is a chair I found on Etsy that I thought was absolutely charming! I am a romantic at heart but I am also a fan of unique furniture and accessories because I love pieces that will get guest talking. This Chair is a miniature art piece by GrandandTaylor.

Kawaii Bento Boxes That Made Me Go YUM!

To encourage the "Bento Master" in me, I decided that I must find the ultimate Bento box of my dreams! Here are a few of my favorite finds. Bento Boxes come in a variety of shapes, design and uses. I wanted to go Kawaii, not because I have a baby boy who I will be making the Bento for, but because who can really resist the super cute Bento Box designs! I will be collecting Bento boxes for myself and my son. Happy Bento Box collecting!

A Spoonful of Poppin Fashion!

Has Mary Poppins been rubbing shoulders with you like she has been with me? From the cutest realization that my little 2 year old nephew talks in a British accent because he is trying to imitate the children of the movie to the popping red Anthropologie boots, I am admittedly in a Marry Poppins mood! Dressing Victorian is always a favorite, from pretty little boots to the ever popular carpet bag, I hope you enjoy the spoonful of goodies I have found.
